OVERVIEW:
The aim of this course is to equip learners with professional knowledge, skills and attributes to enhance their ability to make and serve beverages, to deal with customers, as they operate in a Food and Beverage environment.
ONCE QUALIFIED YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

- Make Coffee Drinks:

- Operating espresso machines and grinders.
- Creating a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages.
- Understanding coffee bean types, roast levels, and brewing methods.
- Customer Service:
- Taking customer orders politely and efficiently.
- Providing recommendations and answering questions about the menu.
- Ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Food Preparation (in some cases):
Serving snacks, pastries, or light meals that accompany beverages.
- Maintaining Equipment and Cleanliness:
- Cleaning the espresso machine, tools, and counters.
- Keeping the café or coffee station tidy and hygienic.
- Cashier Duties:
- Handling payments and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Latte Art:
- Pouring steamed milk into espresso to create artistic patterns.

As a Barista you are expected to have the following:-
